In The Company of Strangers, oil on canvas 40 x 58
Fredericksberg Art Auction. This piece will be available on May 1st at the Fredericksberg Art Auction. I feel that this is one of my signature pieces. I have explored this motif of zebra and impala drinking on a number of occasions, with the reflections in the water and am very pleased with this addition to the collection, it was a technically demanding piece as I am a stickler for getting the reflections correct. The inspiration is the Etosha National Park in Namibia which is one of the few places that you would see such a scene in nature.
Anticipating the Night, oil on canvas, 35 x 60
Insight Gallery.
This is a portrait of Lagadema, the rather famous leopardess who frequents the area around Mombo Camp in Botswana, she played a staring role in a documentary made by the Jouberts, reknown and very talented film makers. The inspiration for this work was provided by dear friend and safari companion Ed Wright.
